The Usui Reiki International Gakkai is a nonprofit educational organization devoted to teaching the traditional practice of Usui Reiki Ryōhō. Our courses and gatherings are educational and contemplative in nature, focused on personal cultivation and the careful transmission of the practice.
The Gakkai does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any illness or medical condition. Instruction in Reiki is not a substitute for medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other professional healthcare, and no claims of medical effectiveness are made or implied by our teaching.
Anyone experiencing a health concern is encouraged to seek the advice of a qualified healthcare professional. Reiki practice is best understood as a complement to — never a replacement for — appropriate medical or mental-health care.
Reading this website, corresponding with the Gakkai, or participating in our courses does not create a practitioner–patient or therapist–client relationship of any kind.
Students are asked to approach the study with maturity and self-awareness, and to make informed decisions about their own wellbeing in consultation with the professionals who care for them.
